Welcome to WebBase 2 Using Microsoft Terminal Services
or Citrix Products

Welcome to DMAC's demonstration for WebBase 2 by DMAC. Keyers or supervisors using WebBase 2 use a browser to access Unibase by DMAC and Unibase Imaging (release 8.2) through a Windows Server 2003 (Standard, Enterprise, or Datacenter Edition) at your site. In addition, keyers or supervisors at your site seamlessly can access the same batches, images, etc. (persistent files) at the same time as the web based keyers.

For this demo, WebBase 2 uses Microsoft middleware products. By being based upon Microsoft's Terminal Services, WebBase 2 gives users the speed, security, and convenience they have come to expect. DMAC modified Unibase by DMAC and Unibase Imaging to work with the Microsoft products and within the Microsoft philosophy for desktop computing. Microsoft and Citrix have cross licensed so DMAC believes its products work with Citrix also.

A keyer's login is setup for the demonstration using Internet Explorer with ActiveX enabled. For entry as a keyer would enter, the user name, webbase2, is completed for you. You must enter the password - user2. The keyer enters the assigned batch of work on the queue immediately. For more information on keying, see To Key From Image below. This demonstration only works with Microsoft's Internet Explorer or with a browser which supports ActiveX as does Internet Explorer.

We at DMAC wish to here your comments. Please take a minute and send us your comments on the demonstration above. This will help DMAC do a better job of meeting its clients' needs.

TO KEY FROM IMAGE (user:webbase2 password:user2):

1.

The home-based keyer (in this case, you) would have been automatically assigned a batch based on her log-in name. The top window shows a snippet of the first field of the first form in the batch.

As you key the data in the form on the bottom, the field snippet in the top window will automatically advance as you progress from field to field.

While keying, do not use the shift key. Jobs are almost always set up so that all alpha data is entered in upper case. This saves keystrokes and lower case letters can be included in output as required.

The same principal applies to decimals. Do not enter decimal points when keying the hourly rate. Decimals can be added in output.

2.

When you complete the last field of a form, the snippet that appears in the top window will be the first field snippet of the next record and so forth.

Press F4 followed by the down or up arrow, to either advance one field without entering data or to back up one field.

Press F3 followed by the down or up arrow to advance or go back one record. If you have entered no data in a record, you cannot advance to the next record.

To terminate the batch, press the Esc key at any time.

3.

After you have keyed the last field of the last form the message, Terminating - No more imageswill appear. Press Enter.

4.

The message, File Balance Accumulators in Balance will appear in the lower window. At this point you have been logged off.
